Style Samosas
Preparation time:15 to 20 minutes.Cooking time:15 minutes.
Makes 15 to 20 samosas.
For the stuffing
:
1 teacup boiled noodles
2 teacups shredded cabbage
2 sliced onions
1 grated carrot
1 teaspoon bean sprouts
1 teaspoon soya sauce
1/2 teaspoon Ajinomoto powder
2 tablespoons oil
salt to taste
oil for deep frying
For the Stuffing:
1. Heat the oil on a high flame.
2. Add the cabbage,onions,carrot,bean sprouts and
Ajinomoto powder and cook for 3 minutes.
3. Add the noodles,soya sauce and salt.
For the dough:
11/2 teacups plain flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons oil
For the dough:
1. Mix all the ingredient and add water to make a stiff
dough.
2. Roll out into very thin circles.
For the spicy tomato sauce:
11/2 teacup tomato ketchup
a small piece
ginger
4 cloves garlic
2 teaspoons chilli sauce
1/4 teaspoon salt
For spicy tomato sauce:
1. Grind the ginger and garlic into a paste.
2. Mix the paste with the remaining ingredient.
How to proceed:
1. Put a little stuffing on each circle and fold over to a
semi-circle.
Bring the ends together and press.
Repeat for the remaining circles.
2. Deep fry in oil until crisp.
*Serve with spicy tomato sauce.
